Now, a quick tip, is that you want to focus on one color and pop it (make it stand out), for example, in New York, many street photographers like to capture the bright yellow taxis and then in post, pop the color of them to make the taxi stand out in the frame. You can use this technique for other bright/vibrant subjects as well like a bright red dress or green hat.
Also, try and shoot while it rains because it gives it a very nice look.
